[Character Sheet]
Character Name: Fukui Michi
Source: Fandom OC; Megami Tensei
Age: 19
Personality: - With new people or people that intimidate her, very well-mannered and reserved, or at least she tries to be. Speaks slowly and politely, in a sort of stilted way, apologizes, and apologizes for apologizing, and apologizes for apologizing for apologizing. Is a doormat.
- Is on the inside very, very frail and constantly trying to convince herself of her worth as a person (or that she can be considered a person at all, thanks dad!). Does not have much self-esteem. Is very sensitive about things like her appearance, especially.
- Is nice to almost everyone, though! Out of both spinelessness and a desire to be liked.
- Is very. Protective of her friends and her boyfriend, especially.
- Speaking of, is in a slightly co-dependentmasochistic OT3 with her boyfriend and another boy relationship with her boyfriend.
- And speaking of the struck-through text, is very fond of violence. However, getting... excited when you come across a good fight or see your boyfriend beat someone up is Very Unladylike, so it embarrasses her. A lot.
- If pushed the wrong way or put under too much pressure, she tends to lash out a bit violently! Which is bad, considering how powerful she is, but she's grown a lot, so you really have to fuck up to get this to happen. She doesn't like hurting people!
- Doesn't like to think about any of her negative traits, so she pretends they're not there by working. A lot, all the time. She tends to feel very restless when she's sitting around doing nothing.
- On the lightest note, she is very silly. She likes cute animals and romance novels and singing and believes that every single myth ever is true and is very enthusiastic about mythology and aliens and the like. At least in regards to the myths, she's right, in her canon.
- Is intelligent in the sense that she's knowledgeable in a lot of academic subjects. Very gullible and lacking in common sense.
History: When she was still young, her father began traveling a lot, though they'd spent a lot of time together when she was smaller. This left her in the care of her mother, who always treated her very coldly. She was scolded harshly for getting too excited or smiling too much or crying – in general, showing too much emotion or just acting in a way a child should. She learned from those experiences and complied with her mother, which only upset her father. The thoughts that he'd been holding in since she was born bubbled to the surface, and he accused his wife of cheating, citing the fact that that thing couldn't possibly be his daughter. With her in the room, which had as positive an effect on an eleven year old's psyche as you would imagine. He began to treat her coldly, and stayed out later and later, until one day, he just didn't come back home at all. She never had the courage to ask her mother what had happened to him.
The woman (not being entirely human, unbeknownst to her husband and child, and not really caring for anything other than her own entertainment) tried her own brand of parenting at first – similar to the way she treated her daughter when her husband was away. The older she got, the more specific the focus became – instead of being expected to act maturely, she was expected to act like a “proper lady;” quiet and demure and submissive. And she did, though nothing would ever be quite good enough for her mother, who began to care less and less, and so was around the house less and less. When she went to school, she was bullied near mercilessly, for being too tall for her age, not being entirely Japanese, and being "too old" to be in her class, amongst other things - and so was very happy when her mother sent her away to another city to live alone, not really wanting anything to do with her.
That's all of the major shaping information, so I'll pick up the pace a little.
In this new city, she made friends, and awakened to a power that she didn't even know she had, and made. A lot of mistakes. Like, snapping and nearly taking someone's eye out mistakes. Snapping and actually cutting someone's tongue out mistakes! Things that she regrets, but those regrets helped shape her into a more stable, genuinely emotive person, even if she was and still is a little stilted and awkward. She met her father again, and though she was happy to see him, he was anything but.
Being... a little too attached to him, she was inclined towards making him happy regardless of how she was treated (not very well), and so was manipulated into doing more things that she regrets, but nothing of the same volume. And then he learned from his mistakes and started speaking to her less and less, but by this time, she had made friends with all sorts of humans and demons and had killed multiple gods and had a steady boyfriend, so while it bothered her, it was easy to focus on other things.
Abilities:
Has a Persona and is very high-leveled. And as such is capable of, in order of strength;
- Increased physical strength
- Manipulation of darkness (includes skills with chances of instant knockouts or deaths)
- Resists dark magic, but is weak to light magic and skills that cause status effects.
- Regeneration (but not to the extent of being able to regrow limbs or eyes or a tongue, that's another skill entirely.)
- Manipulation of ice, but to a much lesser degree than the above.
- Resists ice magic, but is weak to fire magic.
